divorce advice and tales of woe

Divorce isn’t the usual subject for a movie, except when it’s a soppy romantic comedy starring Jennifer Anniston or a glum TV movie starring Jane Seymour where she’s losing her children (you know the sort of crap) yet Miramax are going to change all that. The studio, more known for its gangster films than anything else, is producing a movie about a guy who finds out he was part of a study on divorced children. The man discovers this when he’s wanted for a follow up to the study which covered his parent’s divorce some fifteen years ago.

The movie is said to be a satire titled “A.C.O.D. (Adult Children of Divorce).”

The screenplay has been written by Ben Karlin and is being directed by Stu Zicherman. The pair said about the project:

We’re very glad to get the validation from Miramax, especially since we’ve been working on the script longer than any of our parents were married.
